SO THEY WALKED Music Video :
youtu.be/W7b3vdI2egE

I 've asked to Sergey Ponomarev the permission to use his photos, that i've discovered in his exhibition "Collapses" in Paris in 2015, to realize the music video for BECAUSE.

I wanted to make a music video from pictures reports to illustrate a less dreamy and more frontal violence about war and devastated countries and people.

Sergey satisfied with the result then asked me if I could create a new track and a new music video based on the series of pictures he took late 2015 for a report on refugees.
And I said yes.

I asked Allonymous if he was ok, he said yes, I found a new vfx editor, Camille, and he said yes too.

Here is the continuation of B E C A U S E :

______________

lyrics

SO THEY WALKED

And so they walked
To where there was a clearing
And built many cities, and named them after themselves
And had many offspring
Here's where they lived, here's where they dwelled.

And their brothers, and fathers, and mothers walked away
To where there was a body of water
And built cities
And had many sons, and daughters
And they began to fight amongst each other.

And so they walked
To where they found mountains
And built cities, and named them after themselves
And so they fled
And named themselves, renamed themselves
And fought amongst each other
And so they walked
And found a new land
Whose inhabitants did not share
The same names, the same features, the same values, the same deities.

Refuting how we obviously came to be
Across the waters (to) get away from me
Me is everywhere, even between the pages
I swear, evacuees to refugees

Refuting how we obviously came to be
Across the waters to get away from me

We stay, stray from our origins to set up camp.
Immigrants vs refugees the International topic of the day
Those unfortunate souls, yes those
Deemed as subhuman (to welcome me, to welcome me)
Whose worth, (to welcome me, who welcomes me?)
And self worth, (to welcome me, to welcome me)
Will never amount (to welcome me, who welcomes me?)
To the national debt (to welcome me, to welcome me)
Said my man Talaam Acey (to welcome me, who welcomes me?)
And this was happening stateside
How all of our governments were formed, a word to the wise
Whose worth, (to welcome me, to welcome me)
And self worth ( to welcome me, to welcome me, to welcome me)
Will never amount (to welcome me, to welcome me, who welcomes me?)
Who welcomes me? Who welcomes me? Who welcomes me? Who welcomes me?
